So, I originally wrote this post a month ago, when I was considering hosting it on Substack. But for reasons, I decided not to use Substack, which gives me a great excuse to start from scratch. Any italics here were added in the February version.

So, every six months to a year, I try to get a web presence organized. And after about 60 days, my ADHD kicks in, and I end up not maintaining it. Another 30 to 60 days, and then I abandon it; after about a year, I end up deleting it in disgust and failure.

As they say, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is practice making perfection. Or something, equally trivial, disheartening, and banal. So, this is my latest attempt.

So this is my latest attempt at positively occupying the internet—an emphasis on the positive.

This year, I have a bunch of exciting plans I am working on…

I am writing a series of adventures for the Dungeons and Dragons Adventurers League. Set in a shanty town and the Illefarn ruins underneath, the focus will largely be on helping those who have lost everything, those who have everything to hide, and the enemies will be the large groups, especially do-gooder groups, that use terms like acceptable collateral damage.

I am getting into some solo RPG journaling as a practice to get my writing back to the quality it once was. Writing, like all skills, is practice-based and, unfortunately, degrades quickly. And of course, to talk about RPGs.

My goal is to start easy and not beat myself up for missing posts and deadlines, but soon, I hope to start reliably posting four(ish) times a week, and hopefully on this schedule:

Sunday - My week gaming, a brief overview of where I have been this week and where I am going.

Wednesday - Start my week off with some gaming notes and personal takes on tabletop RPGs. Actually, I have decided to drop regular features on Wednesday, like a Humble Bundle/Bundle of Holding review on the first Wednesday of the month. Right now, the remaining Wednesdays will be dedicated to my dream campaigns.

Thursday - Real-world things, being well-rounded is essential, so I will dedicate Thursdays to a more personal blog and discuss what I am doing outside of gaming.

Friday - Fantasy solo play journal. I am going to start with some Dungeons and Dragons 5E, but maybe I will try something more ambitious in the future. I will be restarting these, so nothing is missed.

Saturday - Sci-fi solo play journal. I am looking at the procedurally based Traveller as an early contender, and then maybe I will move on to some more linearly oriented games. Expect this in March.
